News Roundup - 18 April, 2012

Fairly quiet day today. Backstage plans, ratings and debuts from last nights Smackdown taping (which I won't go into just in case there are those of you that don't want to read it) have been the only things that have stood out, with the rest just being little whimpers that haven't been exactly news worthy.

After splitting with Go Fight Live just a few weeks ago, ROH have yet to find a new iPPV provider. The obvious choices have been WWN Live and HybridENT but it is still uncertain if they will even go with one of them. With Sinclair Broadcasting now the sole owner of ROH, would it be too much to ask for them to host their iPPVs on YouTube? They have a great live streaming service and I'm sure it wouldn't cost TOO much. Just a thought.

Reports say that Otunga was close to winning the US Title off Santino shortly after WrestleMania but it just didn't happen. Although Santino isn't the most ideal champion because of his comedy shtick and lack of title defences I don't think Otunga would be a very good champion either. Otunga is fine by the side of Big Johnny, but as a champion? I don't think so.

It is still confirmed that The Bella Twins are indeed leaving the company when their contract expires, even though they're currently touring Europe. I think it'll be a shame to see them leave, I always had a soft spot for them.

Oh, and Bobby Roode got his hair cut. Gripping stuff.
